The Great Jungle Journey started on Monday, June 24, 2024, and continues through Friday, June 28, 2024, at Community Harvest Baptist Church at 14915 SE 36th Ave in Summerfield. This amazing journey is part of the church’s Vacation Bible School, which is always held for one week during the summer break.
Leaders Jarred and Liz Blackburn explained that Vacation Bible School at Community Harvest Baptist Church is a family affair—the entire Perry/Blackburn family joins in the fun! Liz went on to say that there are 45 volunteers and 116 students checked in, for a total of 161 participants. The students range from 2 years old to adults.
Throughout the entire week, Community Harvest Baptist Church is collecting diapers and wipes for Foster Florida. Each night from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the Vacation Bible School rotates classes. Everyone starts with the Worship Rally, where they sing, dance, and praise. Then the large group breaks into smaller classes that go to Crafts, Music, Recreation, and Bible Study, with time set aside for a snack. Fun was had by all!
