In anticipation of Hurricane Helene, the following government offices have announced early closures:
- Marion County Offices – Closing at noon on Thursday, September 26, 2024, and reopening on Friday.
- City of Ocala Offices – Closing at noon on Thursday, September 26, 2024, and reopening on Friday.
- Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Marion County Courthouse – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Marion County Clerk of Court and Comptroller – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Marion County Tax Collector’s Office – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Marion County Property Appraiser’s Office – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Marion County Health Department – Closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Additionally, Waste Management has suspended collection services in Marion, Citrus, Lake, and Sumter counties on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
