On September 21, 2024, an event was held in memory of Aleyah O’Brien, honoring her and offering deep respect to her family at The Barn at Bellemoor in Belleview. Approximately 60 people gathered to pay tribute to Aleyah, a young girl who lost her battle with cancer in August 2024. Just a month earlier, Aleyah had celebrated her 9th birthday.
Belleview’s Bridgerton Ball was a stunning affair, mirroring all the beauty and regal atmosphere of the popular Netflix series. Set in the Regency era in London, the show is known for its extravagant balls and glamorous attire—and Belleview’s event did not disappoint! Guests arrived at 6:00 p.m., dressed to impress. Drinks were served, followed by a gorgeous meal featuring hors d’oeuvres, pastrami brisket, chicken and dumplings, beef stew, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a variety of other delicious dishes.
As the evening progressed, guests participated in a two-tier raffle with prizes including a 65” Philips Smart TV and a “Beach & Bubbles” package donated by Eaton’s Beach Sandbar, valued at $425, among many other exciting items.
No ball would be complete without dancing. A string trio, looking and sounding angelic, performed, while a DJ played the Bridgerton soundtrack, creating the perfect ambiance for dancing. There were also photo opportunities and a Tea Bar. Nothing was overlooked. The highlight of the evening came when Queen Angelica Woodside crowned the “Diamond of the Season.”
The guests of honor were Aleyah’s parents, Casey and Brandi O’Brien, who expressed their gratitude to all those who supported their daughter and the family throughout this difficult time.
All proceeds from the Bridgerton Ball were donated to Aleyah’s family to help with funeral expenses and other costs incurred while fighting for Aleyah’s life.

Kenzie Barman donated her time as a licensed bartender to the Bridgerton Ball to help the O’Brien family after losing their 9 year old daughter, Aleyah O’Brien to cancer last month.
