Leaving the Scene of an Accident 

Summary: 10/7/2024, 10301 S US Hwy 441 (Publix) – Ofc. Brown responded to a hit-and-run accident in a parking lot. A witness obtained the vehicle’s license plate, and Ofc. Brown located the driver, Herbert B. Rosenblatt (W/M 08/27/1940), at his residence. Rosenblatt admitted to leaving the scene because he did not think there was damage. Ofc. Brown issued him a criminal citation. 

Retail Petit Theft 

Summary: 10/7/2024, 10310 S US Hwy 301 (Winn Dixie) – Former employee Freddie Knowles (B/M 1/20/1994) was arrested and issued a notice to appear after using the self-checkout machines and not scanning certain items to avoid paying for them. 

Issue Trespass Warning 

Summary: 10/7/2024, 3865 SE 98th Pl (Cobblestone North) – Chang Chen (A/M, 4/9/1965) was issued a trespass warning by the property owner. 

Suspicious Incident 

Summary: 10/8/2024, 10715 S US Hwy 441 (Regions Bank) – A juvenile male was found at the location after having wandered away from his home and was subsequently returned to his father. 

Issue Trespass Warning 

Summary: 10/8/2024, 6666 SE 110th St (Opus Bar and Billiards) – Brian Reynolds (W/M 08/24/1972) was issued a trespass warning by security after causing a disturbance. 

Baker Act 

Summary: 10/9/2024 – An adult male was placed under a Baker Act after expressing suicidal and homicidal ideations. 

Suspicious Incident 

Summary: 10/9/2024, 5838 SE Robinson Rd, Apt L (Lakeview Apartments) – Two unknown males reportedly slashed the tires of multiple motorbikes, but no evidence of a crime was observed. 

Commercial Burglary 

Summary: 10/10/2024, 10251 S US Hwy 441 (Kwik King) – An unknown subject committed the listed offense by breaking the glass front door of the location. Case pending inactive. 

Marchman Act 

Summary: 10/11/2024, 5113 SE Abshier Blvd (Auto Zone) – An adult male was placed under a Marchman Act after ingesting an unknown illicit substance and entering a stranger’s vehicle. 

Suspicious Incident 

Summary: 10/12/2024 – Two female juveniles reportedly ingested their mother’s medicinal marijuana and were taken to the hospital. 

Petit Theft 

Summary: 10/12/2024, 11326 SE 55th Ave – An unknown suspect(s) committed the listed offense by removing Florida license plate #BG81BU from the vehicle belonging to Linda Yarrington (W/F 5/12/1957).
