Ocali Country Days Is Back: No Time Machine Needed, Just $10

Get ready to step back in time—but don’t forget your phone! Ocali Country Days returns to Silver River State Park on November 9th and 10th, offering a delightful mashup of old-school charm and modern convenience. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can experience Florida’s pioneer days with everything from cabin tours to sugar cane syrup-making, all while possibly debating if your great-great-grandpa would’ve been into Mobile Pay.

For just $10 (cash or phone payment only, because even pioneers needed a system), you’ll get a weekend full of hands-on history lessons and live music. Kids 5 and under? They’re free, just like they were back in the day (but way less likely to be put to work on the farm).

You’ll be transported to the 1800s with living history exhibits showcasing life skills from a time when “binge-watching” meant keeping an eye on the livestock. Not to mention tram rides through the stunning park, tours of the Silver River Museum, and food that’s way tastier than anything the pioneers ever imagined.

Don’t miss your chance to disconnect while being connected—and learn some old-timey tricks to impress your friends. Supported by the Marion Cultural Alliance and the National Endowment for the Arts, Ocali Country Days is sure to leave you with more than just a sugar rush from that homemade syrup.
