Diamondback Band Strikes a High Note with 3rd Place at Tarpon Springs

 By Bailey Blackburn

With the recent hurricanes, Belleview’s homecoming game had to be postponed. The game and homecoming took place this past Thursday. The night was quite a scene, with the Marching Band being allowed to wear their homecoming attire and the score remaining close.

School spirit was extremely high, helping the final score be 24-35, with Matanzas winning. Despite the loss, Belleview celebrated the close score. The homecoming court walked the field at halftime. Evie Anderson was crowned queen, while Santiago Charry-Merchan was crowned king.

Later that week, on Saturday, the Belleview Diamondback Marching Band traveled to Tarpon Springs for the 28th annual Tarpon Springs Marching Competition. The band placed 3rd overall and won Best Drum Major in Class 2A.
