Belleview Elementary School offers a program dedicated to providing translators for non-English-speaking families. The ML/ESOL Program held a meeting recently at Belleview Elementary School, located at 5556 SE Hwy 484 in Belleview.
The afternoon focused on helping non-English-speaking families navigate test scores, check grades, monitor attendance, and learn other skills essential for supporting their children’s success. Translators worked one-on-one with families to ensure full understanding.
The ML/ESOL Program, which stands for Multi-Language/English Speakers of Other Languages, offers translation in multiple languages. However, only Spanish-speaking families attended this event. Family Engagement Liaison Tiffany Alexander explained, “With BES being 30% Hispanic, we know that for our school to be successful, every student must be successful.”
This meeting also commemorated Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated during the month of October.
