On November 7, 2024, at 3:10 PM, the Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) was dispatched to a residential structure fire at the intersection of NE 19th Court and NE 61st Street in Ocala. Multiple 911 callers reported that the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival at 3:15 PM, Anthony Engine Company #1 quickly established command and deployed hose lines. Given the intensity of the fire, command adopted a defensive posture to protect the surrounding area and ensure the safety of the firefighting team. Additional support came from Heavy Rescue #2, Engine #10, Engine #20, and Tanker #19, who joined the efforts to contain the blaze.
The fire was successfully brought under control by 3:22 PM, with no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters at the scene. The cause and origin of the fire are currently under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
