Belleview Launches Gregg Smith Automotive Car Show for Founder’s Day
The City of Belleview is shifting Founder’s Day into high gear with the introduction of the Gregg Smith Automotive Car Show, set to debut on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Lake Lillian. Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this new event is a partnership between the city and Gregg Smith Automotive, a long-standing local business, and promises to combine car culture with community spirit.
Proceeds from vehicle registrations, vendor fees, and raffle ticket sales will benefit the United Way of Marion County, supporting vital programs that serve the local area. The show will feature three competition categories: Classic (pre-2004), Modern (2004–present), and Truck/Jeep. Awards will be presented in each category, along with the highly anticipated Best in Show title.
Attendees can also get involved by voting in the People’s Choice Award. Voting tickets will be available for $1 each, giving the public a chance to weigh in on their favorite vehicle. Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible and exciting outing for the whole family.
The car show will also include a Vendor Marketplace showcasing automotive products and services, as well as a lineup of food trucks offering diverse dining options.
For those interested in showcasing their vehicles or becoming a vendor, contact Robert Vass at rvass@belleviewfl.org. Updates and event details will be shared on the City of Belleview’s Facebook and Instagram accounts (@cityofbelleview).
With its mix of classic cars, modern machines, and a strong focus on community impact, this car show is poised to become a standout addition to Belleview’s Founder’s Day festivities.
