Strawberries, stunt bikes, and sugar-fueled competition—oh my! The 11th Annual Habitat Ocala Strawberry Festival is set to take over the McPherson Complex on Saturday, March 1, promising a jam-packed day of entertainment, shopping, and, of course, fresh strawberries.
The festival kicks off at 9 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m., with free admission for all. More than 235 vendors will be on hand, offering a little something for everyone, whether you’re looking for handcrafted goods, unique finds, or just an excuse to eat your weight in strawberry shortcake.
For the thrill-seekers, a BMX stunt show will bring high-flying action, while car enthusiasts can browse a massive show featuring classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Kids will have their own zone to explore, complete with a petting zoo, and for those with an iron stomach, the legendary pie-eating contest is sure to get messy.
Live entertainment will keep the energy high throughout the day, and multiple photo booths will be set up to capture every sticky, berry-covered grin.
Parking is just $5 per vehicle, with proceeds supporting the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association and Habitat for Humanity of Marion County. And speaking of Habitat, all festival proceeds will go toward building the Strawberry House, a new home for a low-income family.
With over 700 volunteers making this event possible, it’s shaping up to be a berry sweet day for a great cause. Don’t miss out—March 1 is your chance to eat, shop, and celebrate while making a difference in the community!
