The Belleview Youth Council is excited to announce a special event for local teens — Just Dance, Just Listen — taking place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Belleview Community Center. This free event is open to all teens ages 12 to 19, offering a safe and fun space to connect, express themselves, and enjoy a night of entertainment, creativity, and community bonding.
The evening kicks off with the Just Dance portion from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM, where attendees can show off their best dance moves on an 85” TV, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. The interactive dance session encourages friendly competition and laughter, giving teens a chance to break the ice and enjoy the music together.
At 6:30 PM, the event shifts to Just Listen, giving teens the opportunity to take the stage and share their artistic talents — whether through interpretive dance, musical performances, or spoken word poetry. This portion of the night aims to highlight the unique voices and creativity of Belleview’s youth, providing a platform for self-expression and inspiration.
While the event is free to attend, participants are encouraged to bring five cans of nonperishable food items to support the Everyday Church Food Pantry Program. This initiative not only brings the community together for a night of fun but also emphasizes the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.
“The Just Dance, Just Listen event is a fantastic way for Belleview’s youth to have fun while also fostering creativity and community spirit,” said Robert Vass, Events and Promotions Manager for the City of Belleview. “We’re thrilled to see our local teens come together in such a positive and supportive environment. It’s about more than just dancing and performing — it’s about creating connections, boosting confidence, and celebrating their talents in a space where they feel safe and valued.”
Mayor Christine Dobkowski also emphasized the value of youth engagement, stating, “Creating safe, welcoming events for our teens is a priority for Belleview. The Youth Council has done an incredible job organizing Just Dance, Just Listen, and we look forward to an evening of fun, talent, and community support. It’s events like these that show the heart of our city — where young people are encouraged to shine, and the community comes together to cheer them on.”
