Two drivers were transported to the hospital following a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of SW 11th Street and S. Pine Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. today.
Responding to the scene, Ocala Fire Rescue units, including Ladder 3, Rescue 3, Tower 1, and Battalion Chief 22, arrived to find a pickup truck blocking the right-most lane of S. Pine Avenue. A compact SUV had overturned, with the occupant trapped inside.
Crews worked swiftly to stabilize the overturned vehicle before extricating the driver. Both drivers involved in the accident were subsequently transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the incident.
No additional injuries were reported.
