Belleview Belles Rally for Road to the World Series

The Belleview Belles All Star Softball Team is swinging for the fences—and stirring up sugar along the way. On Friday, May 23, the team kicked off a month-long fundraising blitz with a bake sale at Pasta Faire in Belleview, where the girls dished out homemade desserts in exchange for donations to support their World Series push in Louisiana. Helping serve up smiles were Amelia Genova, Carlee Cook, Coach Lynn, Camille Poling, and Cayden Genova, while Addison Kemp and Samantha Reeves braved the heat outside to reel in foot traffic. Brandon Magnusom, manager and co-owner of Pasta Faire, stood proudly with the team, joined by co-owner Kathy Funk, as the restaurant hosted the first of many events to come.

If you missed out on the sweet treats, there are still plenty of chances to support the Belles:Saturday, May 31: Bake Sale at Mojo’s on Hwy 40 in Ocala, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, June 1: Car Wash at O’Reilly’s in Belleview, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, June 7: Bake Sale returns to Mojo’s Hwy 40, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, June 8: Car Wash at O’Reilly’s, Belleview, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday, June 9: Hit-A-Thon at the Belleview Sports Complex, 6:30 p.m. Funds raised will help cover equipment, tournament fees, and travel expenses—because if they win, it’s off to Louisiana for the World Series.
