‘Leave or Die’: Dunnellon Father Jailed After Violent Outburst Caught on Dash Cam

A Marion County man was arrested Sunday after deputies say he choked his daughter, shoved his wife to the ground, and later brandished a shotgun at them during a heated domestic incident that began after a night out at the Silver Moon bar.

According to an arrest affidavit, the chaos unfolded across two days and ended in the parking lot of a Marathon gas station on US-41, where one of the victims, Anahlee Moncrief, flagged down a Florida Highway Patrol trooper and recounted the ordeal.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Fager, allegedly grabbed Anahlee by the throat and threw her from the kitchen in front of witnesses. The situation escalated the next morning when the victims returned home after sleeping in a parking lot. According to the report, Fager confronted them in the driveway, yelling “Leave or die” and allegedly retrieved a black shotgun from his truck’s tailgate.

One victim said she was told she had five minutes to return or he would “shoot out all the windows” of her Jeep. Another reported that as she tried to walk away, Fager shoved her to the ground and fired a round from the shotgun, chambering another as she ran to hide behind a tree.

Dash cam footage from Anahlee’s vehicle reportedly corroborated key parts of the story, showing Fager waving the victims forward, shoving his wife to the ground, and returning to the truck bed where a black object resembling a shotgun was visible.

Deputies later found two spent shells near the Jeep and a loaded 12-gauge shotgun on the couch inside the home. Fager denied all allegations and invoked his right to remain silent following Miranda warnings. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Marion County Jail on two counts of domestic battery and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victims were not seriously injured and remained at the residence following the arrest.
