Deputies: Man Repeatedly Trespassed, Exposed Himself in Woman’s Yard

A Marion County man in an orange reflective vest is facing charges after deputies say he repeatedly showed up at a woman’s home and was caught on video exposing himself.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim first noticed the man on Aug. 21 riding a grey mountain bike past her residence. She told deputies the cyclist, later identified as Steven Gilleon, parked at her gate and began firing “interrogation-style questions” such as whether she lived alone or had a husband. Uncomfortable, she retreated into her home.

The next day, deputies say Gilleon returned, again pedaling past the property and walking onto the woman’s yard until her son confronted him. The son told him not to come back or police would be called.

But on Aug. 27, investigators say Gilleon came back once more, this time with his pants partially down. The victim recorded him as he walked between her vehicles, stood beside a shed, and began masturbating while facing her window. Deputies described him in the video as an older white male with rotted teeth, wearing a silver bike helmet with holes and a black logo sticker along with the orange vest.

The following day, deputies canvassed the neighborhood and found Gilleon at his residence on NE 52nd Court. When questioned, he admitted owning the vest and helmet seen in the video, acknowledged asking the victim if she was “alone,” and confirmed wearing the same blue pants shown in the recording.

Deputies said Gilleon appeared to understand right from wrong but claimed he did not remember the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on a charge of exposure of sexual organs.
