Fire crews from across Marion County responded late Saturday night after a structure fire broke out in Belleview, drawing multiple 911 calls and a rapid multi-agency response.
Units were dispatched at approximately 9:27 p.m. to the 12000 block of SE 113th Terrace following reports that both a shed and nearby home were on fire. Callers described visible flames and a quickly developing situation.
Firefighters from Spruce Creek Station 30 arrived on scene within minutes, reporting a fully involved shed with heavy fire extending toward the home and surrounding trees. Crews immediately deployed multiple hose lines, focusing on containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to the residence.
Additional support arrived from stations in The Villages, The Shores, Belleview, Weirsdale, and Rolling Greens, with personnel assisting in suppression efforts and conducting search operations.
The fire was brought under control at approximately 9:44 p.m., less than 20 minutes after units were first dispatched.No injuries to firefighters were reported. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family.Officials said the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
