Addison “Addi” Kurzhals, an 18-year-old Belleview resident and 2026 graduate of Belleview High School, has been given the honor of serving as Grand Worthy Advisor of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) in Florida.
The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a Masonic youth organization that helps young women develop leadership skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and learn the importance of community service. Through its activities and leadership opportunities, Rainbow encourages members to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Addi has been a member of Ocala Assembly for 10 years, beginning her journey at just eight years old. As a fourth-generation Rainbow Girl, she continues a family tradition that has connected generations through friendship, service, leadership, and shared values.
Her theme as Grand Worthy Advisor is “Be the Light,” inspired by Matthew 5:14–16, which reminds us to let our light shine through our good deeds. Her motto, “With Faith and Love we will light the way,” reflects her vision for the year.
As Grand Worthy Advisor, Addi will represent Florida Rainbow and encourage members throughout the state as they continue the organization’s mission of leadership, service, and sisterhood.
Community service is an important part of Florida Rainbow’s mission. Addi’s service project is Camp Boggy Creek, an organization that provides children with serious illnesses and their families opportunities to experience the joy of camp, form friendships, and create lasting memories. Fundraising efforts will take place throughout the year to support this important cause. Through fundraising efforts, Florida Rainbow proudly raises more than $10,000 for Camp Boggy Creek each year, helping support the camp’s important mission.
Addi and Florida Rainbow welcome the community to be part of these efforts. Local businesses, community members, and other youth organizations interested in fundraising partnerships, charitable activities, or community service opportunities are encouraged to reach out and get involved. Every contribution and act of kindness is an opportunity to help someone else’s light shine.
Following her graduation from Belleview High School, Addi begins this new chapter and looks forward to representing Florida Rainbow, continuing her family’s tradition sharing her message of faith, love, and service with communities throughout Florida.
