Three-Vehicle Collision on Silver Springs Boulevard Sends One to Hospital
A three-vehicle collision on East Silver Springs Boulevard this morning resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident, which occurred around 8 a.m. in the 1900 block near the Save A Lot parking area, involved a gray SUV that rolled over, trapping the driver inside.
Ocala Fire Rescue’s Engine 3, Rescue 3, Squad 7, Battalion Chiefs 11 and 22, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found three vehicles, including the overturned gray SUV. Crews quickly stabilized the SUV and safely extricated the driver, who was then transported to the hospital for further treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to assist with the incident and manage the scene.
Traffic on Silver Springs Boulevard was temporarily affected as emergency responders worked to clear the area. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
