Rockin’ Too Hard: Man’s Wild Night at ‘Rock the Country’ Ends in Felony
What started as a night of country music and good times at the Rock the Country Music Festival turned into an unexpected showdown for one concertgoer. David Moore, now affectionately dubbed “Country Chaos,” found himself in handcuffs after a series of increasingly poor decisions.
On June 7, 2024, deputies were alerted to a ruckus at 17500 NUS Hwy 441, where Moore, allegedly fueled by a bit too much liquid courage, was causing a stir. Described as highly intoxicated and recklessly endangering fellow festival-goers, Moore ignored multiple requests from deputies to simmer down.
When authorities attempted to escort him off the premises, Moore decided to up the ante. In a move that can only be described as “festival foul play,” he reportedly head-butted Deputy Burgess #6195. Adding to his list of offenses, a subsequent search revealed a vape pen testing positive for marijuana.
Moore was swiftly taken into custody and handed over to the detention staff without further incident. Charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting an officer with violence, battery on an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Moore’s night of music ended with a less melodic note at the Marion County Jail.
