After a strong showing during the six-day Cal Ripken District Tournament from June 4th through the 9th, the Belleview Minors All-Star team clinched runner-up for their district and earned their way to the Cal Ripken State Tournament. The team, comprised of local and talented 9- and 10-year-olds, will be competing at the end of June in Fort Meyers against some of the best teams in the state of Florida. “I couldn’t be prouder of these kids,” commented Head Coach Kyle Sheffield of Belleview, Florida. “They have proven themselves to be strong competitors and have worked so hard for this. As a coaching staff, we have enjoyed bringing this group of kids together during All-Star season, and we cannot wait to continue to coach these kids as they represent Belleview at the next level in a few weeks.”
