An early morning motor vehicle accident caused significant traffic delays on State Road 200 on June 20.
At approximately 5:19 AM, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) units were dispatched to the intersection of SW 63rd Lane Road and SW 60th Avenue in response to multiple 911 calls reporting a red pickup truck that had rolled over and struck a power pole.
Upon arrival at 5:25 AM, MCFR Friendship Station Tower #1 took command of the scene, coordinating incoming units while maintaining a safe distance from the compromised power pole. The occupants of the truck had self-extricated and were found by rescuers.

MCFR Medic #50 and Medic #51, along with Ocala Fire Rescue Engine and Rescue #6, provided medical assistance to the injured parties, who were subsequently transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident. Traffic on SR 200 was heavily impacted during the morning commute as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
