Sibling Spat Sparks Drama in Silver Springs: Woman Arrested After Altercation
In a scene straight out of a soap opera, a quiet neighborhood in Silver Springs turned into a real-life drama on June 22, 2024. Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an altercation at 16995 E Fort King Street, where a family feud erupted into chaos.
The alleged instigator of this domestic drama, Kate Rahme, 30, was found in a rather theatrical state—sitting on her bedroom floor, screaming, and acting erratically. After being coaxed out of her room, Rahme, who apparently met Baker Act criteria, was safely escorted to a patrol vehicle.
The day’s plot thickened as her adopted brother, Joshua Deloach, recounted the turbulent events. According to Deloach, Rahme had been on a yelling spree all day, making him fear for his safety. The climax occurred in the living room, where Rahme, aggravated by Deloach recording her tirade, slapped the phone out of his hand and launched a physical attack, all caught on the soon-to-be-dropped phone’s camera.
But wait, there’s more! Enter Danielle Ouimet, Deloach’s girlfriend, who had her own brush with Rahme’s wrath. Ouimet described how Rahme, in a fit of rage, battered her in the front yard, culminating in a chest-to-chest confrontation. Surveillance footage supported Ouimet’s claims, capturing Rahme’s aggressive advance.
Post-Miranda, Rahme admitted to slapping Deloach’s phone but denied striking Ouimet, offering instead a tale of ongoing tension and frustration. Despite her protest, Rahme was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail.
In a twist worthy of the final act, both victims are currently unemployed and continue to reside at a Fort King Street address. Stay tuned as this family drama plays out, undoubtedly with more episodes to come.
