Summary: On 07/10/2024 at SE Babb Rd/SE Baseline Rd, Pfc. Eckert and Sgt. Esquivel responded to a vehicle versus train accident involving a semi pulling a vehicle transporter trailer. There were no injuries to the driver or his passengers. The commercial vehicle had improper registration, no insurance, and the driver – Domingo Espinal (H/M 2/11/1991) – had several active suspensions on his license and a revoked CDL. Espinal was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail after medical clearance.

Summary: On 07/13/2024 at approximately 11:30 PM, in front of 5035 SE Abshier Terrace, Terrance D. Ray (B/M, 07/14/80) was almost struck by a vehicle while on his bicycle. Contact was made with Terrance and Jana L. Smith (W/F, 08/17/64) at the entrance to Motel 728. It was discovered that Terrance had a felony warrant for failure to register as a career offender and failure to register or provide information, with no bond. Terrance was transported to the Marion County Jail by MCSO Deputy Cetin (6711). Jana was issued a trespass warning for St. Theresa’s, authorized in writing by Michael A. Travaglini (W/M, 05/30/64).
