On 07/23/2024 at approximately 06:14 AM at the Belleview Square Plaza, 10800 Blk S US Hwy 441, Roger Belair (W/M 10/15/1942) struck a bicyclist on the sidewalk while turning into the plaza causing an injury to the bicyclist. Roger then left the scene of the crash.

On 07/22/2024 at approximately 1742 hours at 11202 SE 54th Ave, Belleview, FL 34420, three unknown juveniles committed the offense of criminal mischief by ripping a stop sign off the ground in attempts to steal it.

On 07/22/2024 at approximately 02:00 PM at 11990 SE Hwy 484, Joan Lopez-Caraballo (H/M 05/06/1982) was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended after he was observed operating a stolen vehicle, a white Mitsubishi SUV FL Tag QTAZ28.

On 07/22/2024 an unknown white male entered 5726 SE Abshier Blvd [Wawa] and removed $27 worth of products from the store. The unknown white male then departed the area on a white Harley Davidson motorcycle. This investigation is ongoing.

On 07/22/2024 at approximately 09:00 AM in the 9500 Blk of S US Hwy 441, William B. Gomez (H/M 12/20/1982) was issued a criminal citation for driving while driver’s license suspended subsequent to a traffic stop.

On 07/27/2024 between 0500 hours and 0530 hours at 5213 SE 114th St, Belleview, FL 34420, Jaiden Pennuto (W/F 01/27/2006) made allegations towards Jacob D. Brendum (W/M 06/02/2004) of putting one of his hands over her mouth and telling her she would not breathe. Due to conflicting statements and insufficient evidence, there was not enough to make an arrest. The case was unfounded.

On 07/26/2024 an unknown individual vandalized the ATM at 10990 US-441 [South State Bank] by damaging the faceplate of the ATM causing an estimated $1000 in damage. This investigation is ongoing.
DISCHARGING FIREARM FROM VEHICLE 7-514
Investigation revealed that on 07/27/2024 at approximately 11:32 PM, at the intersection of SE 132nd St Rd and SE US Hwy 484, an unknown person(s) discharged a firearm multiple times at two different unrelated victims’ vehicles, causing two defects in one of the vehicles.
GRAND THEFT 07-0444
On 07/24/2024 at 6666 SE 110th St (Opus Bar), an unknown suspect committed the listed offense against the victim by stealing his iPhone from the parking lot.
UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, DRIVE WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED –
3RD OR SUBSEQUENT CONVICTION 07-0445
On 07/24/2024 in the 11900 Blk SE 50th Ave Rd, MCSO Deputy Raines attempted a traffic stop and the driver, David Holt (W/M 09/25/1987), backed into his patrol vehicle. Cpl. Harrington responded to conduct a traffic crash investigation and it was revealed that Holt’s license was suspended with multiple prior convictions and his vehicle was not registered. Cpl. Harrington placed Holt under arrest and transported him to the Marion County jail.
