Man Arrested for Aggravated Stalking, Repeatedly Violates Injunction
A Marion County man is behind bars after allegedly violating a domestic violence injunction, leading to his arrest for felony aggravated stalking. Dominic Presley-Burrage Jr. was taken into custody on August 31, 2024, after a series of unsettling incidents involving his repeated harassment of a victim and her family.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the situation escalated on the morning of August 30, 2024, when the victim noticed Presley-Burrage’s vehicle trailing her while she was getting gas. Feeling threatened, she quickly left the gas station and headed to a nearby Dollar General, only to be followed and parked beside by Presley-Burrage. Fearing for her safety, she immediately left the store and drove home, but the harassment didn’t stop there.
Throughout the day, the victim and her family observed Presley-Burrage’s vehicle circling their block and lingering across a retention pond, where he sat outside his car, staring at their home. The intimidation continued into the next day when the victim’s mother saw Presley-Burrage parked near their residence. When she drove by, he rolled down his window and smiled.
The victim had previously secured a domestic violence injunction against Presley-Burrage on June 25, 2024, prohibiting him from harassing, stalking, or approaching her and her family. Despite this, Presley-Burrage repeatedly violated these conditions, leading to his arrest.
K-9 Deputy Pulford located Presley-Burrage’s vehicle on SE Maricamp Road, less than a third of a mile from the victim’s home. A traffic stop was conducted, and Presley-Burrage was arrested without incident. In addition to the aggravated stalking charge, Presley-Burrage also faces an active felony warrant for making threats to do bodily harm to Richardson and a misdemeanor for violating the same injunction.
Presley-Burrage is currently being held at the Marion County Jail.
