A tow truck driver claiming to be with Google Maps, a suspicious neighbor blocking the driveway, and one very angry car owner — sounds like the start of a reality show, right? But for Ramon Pabon, it ended with criminal mischief charges.
On September 16, 2024, Marion County deputies were called to a disturbance after Specialized Towing tried to repossess Pabon’s car for missed payments. Things took a turn when Pabon returned home to find the tow truck in his yard and his car hooked up. According to the arrest report, Pabon, seeing red, demanded his vehicle be dropped and, in a fit of rage, started pounding on the hood with his bare hands. The result? A $1,500 dent and a quick trip to the Marion County Jail.
Specialized Towing employees captured the whole event on camera, and deputies later confirmed that Pabon’s frustration was as clear as the large handprint on the damaged Corolla.
Pabon’s defense? He had no idea who these guys were and wasn’t shown any paperwork. “What do you expect from me, I was pissed!” he allegedly told deputies. His rage didn’t stop the repossession, but it did land him a charge for criminal mischief over $1,000.
Let this be a lesson — when it comes to repos, it’s better to keep your cool… and your car in one piece.
