Traffic on I-75 Southbound slowed to a crawl early Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle collision led to a rollover just past the Exit 354 off-ramp. Marion County Fire Rescue received the call at 7:58 a.m., dispatching Engine 1, Rescue 1, Tower 1, a Battalion Chief, and a Safety Officer to the scene.
The crash involved a pickup truck that rolled over, prompting a thorough response. The truck’s driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, while no other injuries were reported.
In addition to local first responders, Road Rangers and an Alachua County officer traveling through the area stopped to assist with traffic control and ensure the scene’s safety.
For locals, this accident was yet another reminder of the regular I-75 wrecks that slow commutes and disrupt traffic, particularly in this high-traffic corridor that residents know all too well for its frequent incidents.
