A heavy police presence surrounded HCA Ocala Hospital on SW 1st Ave. as authorities launched a search for an escaped arrestee on Monday. The individual, 26-year-old Donald Nash, slipped away while in the custody of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Nash, who was last spotted sporting handcuffs, a blue long-sleeve shirt, and light blue or gray shorts, is believed to still be in the area. Authorities noted he might have ditched his hat during the getaway.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and contact 911 immediately if they see Nash or have any information about his whereabouts.
