Belleview Elementary School held its first annual Thanksgiving Feast on Monday, November 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The traditional Thanksgiving meal was held in the Belleview Elementary cafeteria and included all the favorites: turkey, ham, cornbread, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and of course, a hearty piece of pumpkin pie, along with so much more—all free and all delicious! The meal was prepared and served by the BES staff and community volunteers.
Tiffany Alexander from BES explained that the school did not want to just do the traditional meal; they wanted to celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday with their students and families. They wanted to make it personal because the staff, students, parents, and community are family.
Approximately 90 Blazing Broncos came to enjoy the first Thanksgiving Feast at the school.
Donations were provided for this blessed family feast by the BES staff, Greg Smith Automotive, Church of Grace in Belleview, Everyday Church of Belleview, Burger King of Belleview, Girlfriends of The Villages, and the Fun Department.
