Deputies say a woman with a grudge against St. Jude Catholic Church in Ocala turned the house of worship into a dumping ground—literally.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Nelta Calixte was caught on camera Tuesday allegedly flinging a container of what smelled like urine and several soiled diapers onto the church walkway at 443 Marion Oaks Drive.
It wasn’t her first offense, authorities say. Security staff recognized both Calixte and her red Toyota SUV from two previous incidents on July 19 and July 21, when similar waste was left at the entrance.
This time, a witness watched as Calixte exited the SUV, grabbed a yellow liquid from the passenger seat, tossed it in front of the doors, and followed it up with a handful of dirty diapers—some reportedly “open,” allowing feces to spill out.
The maintenance worker told deputies he had to spend extra time scrubbing the walkway and supplied surveillance footage backing up his account.
When deputies located Calixte at her home, they said she was still wearing the same clothes from all three incidents.
She was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and illegal dumping of human waste.
It’s unclear what prompted the repeated acts, but investigators say the case reeks of intent.
