Rotary Club’s Santa Squad Delivers Joy to 57 Kids

On Tuesday, December 10, the Belleview Rotary Club, along with Belleview High School’s Interact Club, gathered at the Walmart in Silver Spring Shores to shop for 15 local families, ensuring the 57 children from these families would have a very merry Christmas.

The club’s Annual Belleview Rotary Golf Tournament, held in November, makes this event possible by providing each child with $75 worth of gifts. In addition, the families receive a holiday meal. All 15 families are from our community and represent five local elementary schools.

A group of volunteer shoppers kicked off the event at 6:00 PM, helping Santa pick the perfect gifts for all 57 children based on their wish lists of favorite things.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Belleview Rotary Club and the Belleview High School Interact Club joined forces again for the Belleview Rotary Club Wrapping Party, held at Leeward Air Ranch. Peter and Ellen Wenk hosted the festive group in their airplane hangar, where they wrapped all the gifts purchased during the Christmas shopping event.

Wrapping began at 4:00 PM and continued until the final gift was picture-perfect around 7:00 PM.
