Domestic Battery 

Preliminary investigation revealed that between 06/14/2024 and 12/22/2024, Chester Rugg allegedly committed the offense of battery against a juvenile female. 

Criminal Mischief 

On 03/17/2025 at approximately 3:59 p.m., at 5150 SE 103rd Ln, Belleview, FL, it was reported that between 03/16/2025 at approximately 11:00 p.m. and 03/17/2025 at 3:40 p.m., an unknown suspect shattered the window of a white 2022 Acura, causing approximately $500 in damage. 

Petit Theft 

On 03/19/2025, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., at the Chevron Gas Station located at 11990 S US Hwy 484, Belleview, FL, an unknown suspect committed the offense of petit theft against Jacqueline Darrah by taking her purse while she was sleeping. Jacqueline Darrah later found her purse at the location, and the case was closed as unfounded. 

Trespass Warning 

On 03/19/2025, at Express Care, located at 10762 S US Hwy 441, Belleview, FL, Janet Harris was issued a barring notice after causing a disturbance at the location. 

Aggravated Battery 

On 03/19/2025, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., at the Belleview Regional Shopping Center in the 10300 block of S US Hwy 441, Belleview, FL, a suspect committed the offense of aggravated battery by striking the victim multiple times, causing serious injury. The case is still under investigation. 

Baker Act 

On 03/21/2025, Corporal Eaglen and Officer Brown responded to a disturbance at a residence involving an 11-year-old female. Based on statements and a criteria evaluation, the juvenile was placed under a Baker Act and transported to SMA. 

Domestic Battery by Strangulation 

On 03/22/2025, Officer Brown overheard an argument between a male and female while conducting a security check at Motel 728. After investigating the matter, Cortney A. Dombris (W/M, 01/10/1979) was placed under arrest for the listed offense. 

Baker Act 

On 03/23/2025, Sergeant Miley responded to SE 50th Ave after neighbors reported that a subject armed himself with a shovel following an argument with individuals he believed were in his garage. After evaluation, the subject was placed under a Baker Act and transported to The Vines by Officer Brown.
