A garage fire erupted early Saturday morning in the 13000 block of SW 60th Court Road, Ocala, sending firefighters into action at 12:50am. The 911 call reported flames threatening a neighbor’s home, prompting a swift response.
Crews from MCFR Liberty Station #32 arrived within minutes to find the home 50% engulfed in flames. Engine #32 took charge, deploying hoses and directing Rescue #32 to perform a quick search, while the fully involved garage continued to burn.
As Battalion Chief #4 arrived on scene, additional units from Ray Lloyd, Marion Oaks, Friendship, and Majestic Oaks stations joined forces. Multiple hoses were rolled out, and secondary searches were completed. Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire.
The fire was declared under control by 1:32am with no injuries reported. Investigators are now working to determine the fire’s cause and origin.
