Motorists traveling near the Florida Horse Park this week should anticipate delays and detours as temporary traffic controls are put in place for the Rock the Country concert.
The event, scheduled for May 9–10, will impact several key roads in the area. Beginning in the hours leading up to and following the concert, CR 475A/SW 16th Avenue will be closed to northbound traffic from SW Highway 484. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
Additional temporary controls will be implemented at the following locations:
- SW Highway 484 between SE 25th Avenue and I-75
- Both entrances to the Florida Horse Park on CR 475A/SW 16th Avenue and CR 475
- SW 107th Place between CR 475A/SW 16th Avenue and CR 475
Message boards and barricades will be used to direct traffic, and law enforcement will be onsite managing entry to the venue. Median access and turn movements along SW Highway 484 will be limited, and all through traffic on CR 475A/SW 16th Avenue will be diverted to CR 475.
Drivers should allow for extra travel time and monitor local updates, as weather or other unforeseen circumstances may alter the traffic plan.
