Lawn Service Gets Too Lit: Re-purposed Ambulance Torched in Belleview

A blaze broke out Wednesday afternoon in Belleview when a repurposed ambulance-turned-lawncare-rig caught fire near SE 56th Avenue and SE 100th Street.


Marion County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at 3:37 p.m., arriving within minutes to find the commercial vehicle fully involved. Battalion Chief #3 and firefighters from Belleview Station #18 jumped into action and had the fire under control by 3:50 p.m.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
