The Belleview Dixie Girls Softball Team—Florida’s very own All-Star SweeTees—is headed to Ruston, Louisiana, to compete in the 2025 Dixie Softball World Series, taking place from July 25 through July 30.
These pint-sized powerhouses, all just 6 years old and younger, have shown incredible dedication both on and off the field. With the support of their coaches and parents, they’ve been working tirelessly to raise funds for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Belleview and the state of Florida on the national stage.
On Friday, July 18, the team gathered at Pasta Faire on Highway 441 for a community bake sale—and it was a sweet success. With homemade pineapple upside-down cake, gooey brownies, zesty lemon bars, cookies, and other sugary delights, the girls served up more than just dessert. They shared smiles, spirit, and a whole lot of heart.
Donations collected at the event will help cover travel and tournament expenses, and every dollar raised brings them one step closer to their World Series dream. Despite the sweltering heat, the SweeTees didn’t miss a beat— cheering, waving signs, and charming the crowd like pros.
