Marion County Mayhem: Meth, Mischief, and Sibling Squabbles
Saturday, June 22, was anything but quiet for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office when a routine call turned into trouble for local resident Wayne Felcher.
The day began with a physical disturbance report. Deputies dashed to the scene following a call from victim Sheri Felcher-Parsons, who accused her brother, Wayne Felcher, of punching her in the head before fleeing in a blue shirt, blue jeans, and a black backpack. The suspect’s attempt at a hasty retreat was foiled when deputies spotted him ambling along SE 25th Ave.
Felcher insisted he left because of a rent dispute, but Sheri’s version of events was more dramatic. According to Sheri, Felcher, enraged over a missing cell phone, allegedly went full WWE: straddling her and delivering blows to her left shoulder and head.
Post-Miranda, Felcher clammed up, demanding his attorney, but the day’s surprises were far from over. A routine booking search at the Marion County Jail uncovered a plastic bag of methamphetamine tucked in Felcher’s pocket—a detail he claimed ignorance of. Yet, the crystal-like substance tested positive, adding possession of meth and introduction of contraband into a detention facility to his list of charges.
Felcher’s next address? The Marion County Jail. As the dust settles, one thing is clear: in Marion County, sometimes the family that brawls together, stays together – albeit behind bars.
