St. Mary’s Episcopal Church to Host Scuba-Themed Vacation Bible School This Summer
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is excited to announce its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) event, which will take place from July 8th to July 12th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm each day. This year’s theme, “Scuba,” promises a week of underwater adventure and spiritual growth for children in the community.
The Scuba VBS aims to help kids explore what it means to have a friendship with God through a series of engaging and fun activities. The event is open to children from preschool (potty trained) through fifth grade, with older youth serving as group leaders. Best of all, participation is free, and dinner is included each night.
The daily schedule kicks off at 5:30 pm in the church before moving to the Parish Hall at 6:00 pm for a delightful dinner. Throughout the evening, children will dive into memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, and play teamwork-building games. They will also embark on unique Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies, and conduct fun scientific experiments designed to spark their imaginations.
A highlight of each day is the “God Sightings” activity, where kids learn to recognize evidence of God in their everyday lives. The day wraps up with the Fln-tastic Finale at 7:30 pm, a special time where family members and friends are encouraged to join in celebrating what the children have learned.
In addition to the fun and games, the Scuba VBS includes a meaningful mission effort. Participants will work together to raise funds to provide clean water for families in rural areas of Honduras, teaching the children the importance of helping others in need.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is located at 5750 SE 115th St. (Babb Rd.), Belleview. For more information or to register, visit https://www.stmarysbelleview.org/.
