
New Bethel Community Church held its 5th Annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 20, at the church located at 8780 SE 157th Pl in Summerfield. There was so much to do, and EVERYTHING was FREE!
The church provided Backpacks filled with school supplies, along with a free lunch including hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and dessert. Marion County Fire Rescue, Station 10, was present to ensure that every child received a free bike helmet, properly fitted by one of Marion County’s own. Melissa Crosby, a local professional freelance stylist, offered free back-to-school haircuts for any child from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
The highlight of the Back to School Bash had to be the huge water slide, which kept the kids cool on a hot summer day and added some splash to the event.
