Vape Fiasco Leads to Full-Scale Domestic Drama
In an epic showdown worthy of its own reality TV special, a night of drinking spiraled into chaos on August 26, 2024. Marion County deputies responded to a report of a full-blown battery at Rebecca Cross’s residence, where things went from zero to sixty over a vape joke.
According to Karli Crognale, who was visiting friend Rebecca and her boyfriend, Miguel Caraballo, the evening took a turn when Karli’s light-hearted ribbing about Miguel’s vape didn’t sit well with Rebecca. What began as a verbal spat quickly escalated, with Karli deciding to make a hasty exit to her vehicle. But Rebecca wasn’t having it. She allegedly followed Karli outside, pushed her to the ground, and unleashed a flurry of punches, all while calling her an offensive word repeatedly.
As if things weren’t already messy, Miguel reportedly emerged from the house and saw Rebecca giving Karli a few more love taps. Rebecca then allegedly turned her fists on Miguel, striking him several times on the shoulder and the side of his head. When deputies arrived, they found Karli with a fresh abrasion and dirt on her arm and leg, corroborating her version of events.
Miguel, who lives with Rebecca, claimed that both women were hitting each other but remained tight-lipped about the specifics. Rebecca, in an interview, denied all accusations and insisted she was too intoxicated to provide more details before shutting down the conversation.
With evidence and witness statements on her side, deputies charged Rebecca with simple domestic and non-domestic battery. Despite a clean criminal record, Rebecca was taken to Marion County Jail, where her night of drama finally came to a close.
