8/27/2024, SE Abshier Blvd/SE Robinson Rd – Officer observed a black male riding a dirt bike without a license plate on the roadway and conducted a traffic stop. Duante Gordon (B/M 08/31/1996) advised he thought it was fine as long as he had a motorcycle endorsement. Gordon was issued a criminal citation.

8/27/2024 – A juvenile female was placed under arrest for simple battery domestic after striking her juvenile brother in the face with a fist.
Baker Act
8/27/2024 – A male juvenile was placed under a Baker Act after displaying threatening behavior and was subsequently taken to a mental health facility.
Misuse of Temporary Tag
8/27/2024, 5000 Blk SE Abshier Blvd – Officer observed a pickup truck drive straight from a left-hand turn lane and turned around to catch up to the vehicle. A records check of the temporary license plate showed it was expired since April 2024. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and the driver, Daniel Wilke (W/M 12/22/81), advised he was going to the DMV tomorrow to transfer an old plate to the truck. Wilke was issued a criminal citation.
False Name to LEO/Warrant
8/28/2024, 11407 SE 55th Ave – Clarence Applehans (W/M 06/17/1975) was placed under arrest for providing a false name to a law enforcement officer and for an outstanding arrest warrant for felony violation of probation.

8/28/2024, approximately 7:19 PM, Wawa at 5726 SE Abshier Blvd – An unknown black male, approximately 60 years old, wearing a white tank top and black shorts, selected an 18-pack of Bud Light (valued at $19.78) and left through the rear door, bypassing all points of sale.

8/28/2024, approximately 7:43 PM, 6017 SE Robinson Rd, Belleview, FL 34420 – A female juvenile was placed under a Baker Act after expressing homicidal ideations.

8/30/2024, US Hwy 441/SE Baseline Rd – An officer observed a Toyota sedan with a license plate cover that reflected his headlights, rendering the license plate unreadable. The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, Reinaldo Luis Santiago Negron (H/M 07/26/75), who stated he purchased the vehicle three months prior and hadn’t been able to get it registered. The officer verified the vehicle was unregistered and discovered Santiago Negron’s license was suspended. Santiago Negron was placed under arrest. Subsequent searches of his person and vehicle yielded methamphetamine in his shoe and marijuana in his vehicle. It was also discovered that the current registration sticker (reading 6-23) was simply a yellow piece of tape with black marker written on it. Case closed by arrest.

8/30/2024, US Hwy 441/SE 102nd Pl – An officer observed a Ford Mustang and conducted a records check on the license plate, which showed it was registered to a GMC pickup truck. The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, Michael L Kendrick (B/M 07/06/1987), who stated he just purchased the Mustang and was using his other license plate to transport it. The officer confirmed the Mustang was not registered, and Kendrick’s license was recently suspended (unknowingly). Kendrick was issued criminal citations for the listed offenses.
