Souls Harbor Christian Academy Opens New Elementary Campus

Souls Harbor Christian Academy (SHCA) celebrated a milestone recently with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new elementary campus, located at the former site of Taylor College in Belleview.

The event was attended by local dignitaries, including Belleview city officials like Commissioner Bo Smith and Mayor Christine Dobkowski, and State Representative Ryan Chamberlin, an SHCA alumnus who participated in the ceremony.

Souls Harbor Christian Academy has been helping young minds prosper since 1979 under the leadership of Bishop James E. Varnum and his wife, Naomi Varnum. Over the years, the school has positively impacted thousands of lives. With over 160 students enrolled this year and recent legislative changes making Christian education more accessible, SHCA is poised for a bright future.
