Belleview’s Light Up Lake Lillian Shines Brighter with Santa, Sweets, and Shimmering Lights

Belleview Gears Up for a Brighter Holiday with Light Up Lake Lillian

Belleview is pulling out all the stops for this year’s Light Up Lake Lillian on December 7, with festive additions guaranteed to delight locals of all ages. From 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, families can dive into the holiday spirit with two new hands-on activities—cookie decorating and ornament making—that make this annual gathering even sweeter.

The Church on the Hill will host a cookie decorating station, where little ones can channel their inner pastry chef on sugar and chocolate chip cookies. With endless frostings, sprinkles, and decorations, parents are already bracing for the sugar highs. Over at the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club tent, kids can create their own ornaments to add that homemade touch to their trees—no broken glass in sight!

Of course, these activities are just the icing on the gingerbread. Santa Claus himself will be on hand for photo ops and last-minute wish lists, and kids can burn off their cookie energy on a lineup of inflatables and games. Plus, face painters will be ready to transform youngsters into the holiday character—or critter—of their dreams.

Adding to the ambiance, a mix of live music and DJ sets will keep holiday tunes rolling all evening, and food trucks will be parked to satisfy every appetite. Local vendors will also offer unique gifts for anyone looking to tackle their shopping list.

The night will wrap up with the ceremonial lighting of Lake Lillian, setting the lakeside trees aglow and officially marking the start of Belleview’s holiday season.

Thanks to sponsors Gary Yeomans Ford Villages and Mid-Florida Credit Union, this year’s Light Up Lake Lillian is set to be the biggest—and brightest—yet.
