A quiet evening in Belleview sparked to life Thursday when a shed went up in flames on the 11400 block of SE 80th Court. At 8:58 p.m., Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) units from Spruce Creek Station #30, Belleview Station #18, and Battalion #3 raced to the scene.
Arriving within four minutes, firefighters found the shed fully engulfed, with multiple nearby structures at risk. Their swift response brought the blaze under control by 9:06 p.m., limiting the damage to the shed itself.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
For now, the residents can rest assured their local fire stations are ready to tackle emergencies as efficiently as they did this one.
