Naked Man Trashes Hotel, Lands Felony Charge and Free Orange Outfit

A Marion County man went from “no vacancy” to “no clothes” before ultimately securing a stay at the county jail.

Deputies were called to the Red Roof Inn & Suites on March 17 after reports of a suspicious person—which turned out to be Dean Guntner, who was taking a leisurely, and completely unclothed, stroll through the hotel’s hallways.

When confronted, Guntner insisted he didn’t have a room there, despite an employee, Alejandro Calle, saying otherwise. Before his impromptu streaking session, he allegedly hurled a trash can through a glass door, causing $3,400 in damages.

Asked why he was sans wardrobe, Guntner claimed that two or three unknown individuals had stolen his clothes. Unfortunately for him, deputies weren’t buying it.

Guntner was arrested for felony criminal mischief and booked into the Marion County Jail—where he was finally given something to wear.
