The Belleview 10U All Stars are heading to the state tournament in Auburndale after finishing second in the District 10 Cal Ripken Tournament. The district featured 16 teams. This marks the second consecutive year the Belleview squad has advanced to the state level.
Coach Neil Leaman said he is proud of the team and the hard work they’ve put in throughout the season.
The team includes: Zac Blackburn (#47), Easton Brooks (#44), Liam Fuentes (#14), Joel Gonzalez (#99), Gavin Havens (#8), Logan Leaman (#7), Colby Mitchell (#23), Jackson Paugh (#13), Rhett Pietryka (#20), Emily Richardson (#10), Dalton Sheffield (#16), and Waylon Wichtner (#29). Additional roster listings include Mitchell (#28), Coach Neil, Coach Sheffield, and Pietryka.
To help cover hotel expenses for the upcoming trip, the team is holding a car wash fundraiser this Saturday, June 7, beginning at 9 a.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Belleview. Donations can also be made through Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App, with QR codes available on the Belleview Youth Baseball Facebook page. Sponsors who contribute $500 or more will have their logo included on the All Stars banner.
