Belleview is percolating with opinions, and this time it’s not about potholes, parking, traffic, or politics. It’s about coffee— again.
In a city already swimming in caffeine options, the announcement of a 7 Brew Coffee Drive-Thru opening at the old Belleview Hardware site has locals steamed, stirred, and for some, completely over-caffeinated. The news broke on the Voice of South Marion’s Facebook page, and within hours, the comment section brewed into a frothy mix of praise, sarcasm, and the occasional conspiracy-laced caffeine rant.
The Facts, Before the Froth
It was confirmed that 7 Brew, an Arkansas-based drive-thru coffee chain known for its energetic baristas and sweet concoctions, will be taking over the long-standing Belleview Hardware property near the U.S. 441 corridor. Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks, while the timetable is not exact.
This adds yet another coffee flag on Belleview’s java-studded map, which already includes Dunkin’ Donuts, Ellianos Coffee, and a Starbucks under construction by Wendy’s. And that’s not counting coffee at McDonald’s, Wawa, Circle K, and just about any place with a functioning car window and espresso machine.
The Comments Pour In
As expected, the internet did what the internet does best: react.
Some commenters welcomed 7 Brew with virtual hugs and teary-eyed emojis, calling it “amazing,” “the best coffee ever,” and “literally life-changing.” One user proclaimed, “YESSS MY FAVORITE,” while another declared they could cry tears of joy if it’s really happening.
Others? Well, let’s just say they prefer their coffee without the side of urban sprawl. Some of our favorites:

“Just what we need… another coffee shop, another car wash, another gas station.”

Some took a sarcastic stroll through what they see as Belleview’s new business blueprint: Coffee. Car wash. Gas station. Smoke shop. Repeat.
A Congested Cup
Many critics pointed out what they see as a logistical disaster in the making. The old hardware location, they say, wasn’t built for high-volume traffic. With the new Starbucks already en route and a Chipotle rumored to be following closely, concerns are brewing about turning Belleview’s main drag into one long, honking latte line. Some wrote:
“If you thought Wawa slowed traffic, just wait.”
“They’re going to turn Belleview into Gainesville Jr.”
One commenter made the sharp observation that while Belleview is overflowing with places to wash your car and guzzle caffeine, it’s notably lacking in diverse sit-down dining. A few wrote:

Some even proposed combining Belleview’s signature obsessions:
“What about a car wash with a coffee drive-thru?”
“Why not open a coffee shop inside a gas station next to a smoke shop across from a donut stand?”
The Bigger Picture
While the comments flew like over-sugared espresso shots, a few residents stepped back and saw the bigger picture. Development, even in the form of yet another coffee chain, beats empty storefronts and blight.
“At least it’s not another abandoned building.”
“Something is better than nothing.”
“New business means jobs. Growth means opportunity.”
Still, the coffee saturation is hard to ignore. In Belleview, if you throw a rock, odds are you’ll hit a coffee shop, or someone complaining there’s too many.
The Final Sip
Love it or loathe it, 7 Brew Coffee is coming to Belleview. Whether it’s a bold shot of economic momentum or just another jolt in a jittery strip of chain shops remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear: no one in Belleview will be falling asleep anytime soon.
So raise your reusable cup, take a deep breath, and prepare for more drive-thrus, more double-shot debates, and more foam.
