A disagreement over dinner plans and access to a vehicle ended with a shattered bottle of Tito’s vodka and an 18 year old woman facing felony charges.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded June 16 to a residence on Northwest 40th Avenue Road following a report of a physical disturbance.
Investigators say the incident began when Camyrn Bryannah Days and a 17 year old male wanted to go out for dinner but were told they would not be allowed to use a vehicle belonging to the teen’s mother.
According to the victim, she was standing near her vehicle with the driver’s door open when Days and the teen approached. The victim said the teen’s mother informed them they would not be permitted to use her vehicle, which led to a verbal argument.
The victim told deputies that Days pushed past her, entered her vehicle without permission and grabbed a newly purchased bottle of Tito’s vodka that was sitting on the front passenger seat. The victim said she then pushed Days, causing her to fall to the ground. According to the affidavit, Days became upset, threw the bottle of vodka into the roadway and shattered it.
Deputies reported that the teen provided a different version of events, claiming the victim threw the bottle first and pushed Days to the ground. Days’ statement was consistent with the teen’s account. The victim’s account was supported by a witness at the scene. A deputy noted observing a shattered bottle of Tito’s vodka in the roadway.
Days was arrested on charges of burglary of a conveyance, battery and criminal mischief involving less than $200 in property damage.
What began as a search for dinner transportation allegedly ended with nobody getting a ride and one bottle of Tito’s making an unscheduled landing in the middle of the road.
