Ocala first responders responded after a violent crash left a pickup truck upside down with the driver pinned inside.
Ocala Fire Rescue units arrived at the scene just before 2 p.m. on Thursday to find an SUV upright with three people able to walk away, and a pickup truck resting on its roof. The driver of the truck was trapped and unable to escape.
Crews from Engine 4 and Rescue 4 quickly stabilized the vehicle and used extrication tools to pry open the driver’s side door. The driver was safely removed and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue assisted at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
