At 1:47 am on July 23, MCFR units were dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire located at 25 Dogwood Drive Course. The 911 caller reported that the fire was located in the home’s garage. MCFR Station #17 arrived on scene at 1:54 am to find smoke billowing from the eaves. Firefighters quickly deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire and went into offensive mode.
Firefighters from Rolling Greens Station #28, Belleview Station #18 and Anthony Station #1 arrived on scene to assist. Firefighters were able to make a quick stop on the fire and prevented the fire from extending into the home.
Crews saved the family’s property and located 2 family pets in the structure. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
